Why I Joined…

“I joined the New Moms Board of Directors in 2016 because New Moms provides housing, parenting skills and job training to young moms and their families to impact two generations. This is meaningful change. The organization is always trying to find ways to deepen their knowledge to better serve young moms and be innovative to effectively scale what works. It is exciting to be part of impact in action with New Moms.”

Favorite Quote…

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.” – Mark Twain

“I like this quote because – even if you don’t travel – it asks us to know the unknown without judgment. The world could use some more acceptance and open-mindedness these days.”
