Jordann Nunn

Having grown up on the south side of Chicago and having a multi-racial family of my own, I have seen first-hand the inequities and lack and opportunity that often exist in diverse, under-served communities.  I want to continue to be educated on these challenges and do my part to be a force for change. As a mother of two young children myself, I am also very passionate about helping women in this critical life role.  Motherhood is hard and challenging under any circumstance, let alone facing poverty or homelessness.  I am looking forward to bringing my passion and life’s work of helping people build skills and capabilities to New Moms, in the hopes that I can have an impact on the moms and children that this amazing organization serves.

Favorite Quote: “Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world’s grief.  Do justly now.  Love mercy now.  Walk humbly now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it. –  Pirkei Avot”

I love this quote because it reminds me that everyone is responsible to help and heal and do their part, however big or small that may be. It truly takes all of us to make a difference in this world.
