Kim Moreland

“I joined the New Moms Board of Directors in 2017 but originally connected with New Moms through my church back in 2002. I helped with a painting project and became acquainted with the people and the mission, and have been in love with New Moms ever since! New Moms is important to me because it allows me to see tangible acts of care and hope happening in our city. On a personal level, it is also meaningful for me to be connected with young families as I do not have children of my own.”

Favorite Quote: “[She had finally come to understand that] he had an equivalent centre of self, whence the lights and shadows must always fall with a certain difference.” from the novel Middlemarch by George Elliot

I find this a beautiful, poetic description of realizing that each person is valuable, created in the image of God with a unique story worthy of care and attention.
