Pinky Raina

I joined the Board as I am passionate about supporting women gaining financial independence. This organization is especially meaningful as it gives me an opportunity to share my experience in manufacturing to support a cause of financial independence for new moms.”

Favorite Quote: “I want others to think like I do and to quote Harper Lee’s ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’, ‘You never really know a [person] until you stand in his shoes and walk around in them.’ For inclusion, we need everyone to think from the other’s perspective. This requires everyone to embrace change as we all strive to create a more inclusive culture.”

Professional Bio

20 years of experience building, scaling and transforming organizations in public, private and not-for-profit organizations. Managed revenues of up to $1 Billion, held C-level roles in Manufacturing and Sports & Entertainment industry; additional industry sector experience as an auditor and fraud investigator. Sports Business Journal Game Changer Class of 2022 and 2022 Chicago CFO of the Year for Mid-Size Non-Profit.

  1. After being a consultant for over 10 years with stints at Deloitte and KPMG, I decided to finally take the leap to industry at Marmon and then IDEX.  In both companies, I led the Finance/IT function of a portfolio of companies. It was akin to being in private equity – cost out, maximizing profit, ROI, etc.
  2. I joined U.S. Soccer as the CFO in 2019. This was not only a transition in my career from a for-profit to a not-for-profit setting but also a complete change in industry – manufacturing to sports/entertainment.  At U.S. Soccer, I have implemented best practices in Finance – new accounting system, quarterly forecasting, monthly cashflow forecasting, and built out a high-performing team of 6. In 2020, I inherited both the HR and Core IT function due to my commitment to driving a performance and continuous improvement culture.
