Are you interested in learning more about incorporating Executive Skills strategies into your program and operations? We are excited to provide Executive Skills training workshops for staff at all levels — frontline to C-Suite — of human service organizations and programs.

A complement to our Executive Skills implementation case study and toolkit, New Moms offers the following Executive Skills training workshops:

Our most popular training! An introduction to Executive Skills: what they are, why they matter, and how they develop, with a focus on learners’ own Executive Skills first and foremost. Includes an overview of Environmental Modifications and Executive Skills-informed coaching strategies.

      • No prerequisite
      • Duration: 2 hours

A deeper dive into the brain and behavioral science of Executive Skills and its practical application in your program, including case study practice, role-play activities, and review of Executive Skills coaching strategies.

      • Prerequisite: Executive Skills 101
      • Duration: 2 hours

A practice-based workshop building learners’ understanding of the three types of Environmental Modifications. This workshop includes practical activities for planning for, piloting, and implementing Environmental Modifications to reduce obstacles for yourself, colleagues, and participants.

      • No prerequisite
      • Duration: 1.5 hours

A practice-based workshop building learners’ understanding of “good fit” Executive-Skills-informed goals. This workshop includes practical activities for setting good-fit goals.

      • Prerequisite: Executive Skills 101
      • Duration: 3 hours

We are happy to explore training workshops, series, or 1:1 technical assistance and coaching opportunities tailored to your program-specific goals, staff needs, program population, learning objectives, timeframes, and capacity.

All training sessions include 1-2 prep calls with you, pre-training materials and appropriate tasks, facilitation of the session itself, and a post-session follow up with additional resources for your team.

Training Methodology: Facilitated by our Learning & Innovation and program leadership staff, our Executive Skills trainings are dynamic and engaging! We incorporate multiple learning methods into our workshops whether in-person or virtual, including: active discussion and facilitated conversation, individual and group self-assessments, reflective break-out groups, role plays and case scenarios, short audio and video segments, and interactive technologies such as live polling.
