Internships at New Moms are not just your standard coffee runs and busywork. At New Moms, we are committed to implementing internship curriculums that help develop your skills and teach you new ones that will ensure a positive career trajectory. Our internships are just like our programsholistic and catering to the entire individual, not just a set agenda.

We have a variety of internships available throughout the year, including, but not limited to:

The Marketing & Communications Intern works under the supervision of the Director of Development and Communications and serves supports the execution of the communications work plan, assisting with the publication of marketing and fundraising materials for the department. Through this experience, the intern will learn how strong communication is critical for all aspects of organizational function including advocacy, programming, fundraising, and more. The intern will have excellent copyediting skills, an eye for design, and will be a talented writer. Additionally, the intern will work closely with the Development and Database Manager to support communications and planning to ensure the success of all New Moms campaigns. Stipend of $3,750 for three 8 hours days/week over the course of the internship. This time commitment and stipend amount are negotiable. Students with strong written and communication skills, and who have an interest in non-profit administration, are ideal candidates.

Placement Application Deadlines:

  • Fall placements: July 1
  • Winter/Spring placements: Dec. 1
  • Summer placements: April 1
