Site-based Permanent Supportive Housing

Front door of New Moms’ Oak Park Center and Clare Place Housing on Chicago Ave.
Interior of an apartment at New Moms’ Clare Place.

New Moms’ Clare Place apartments offer permanent supportive housing, meaning families can live there as long as they choose and will have opportunities to engage with our Family Support program and Family Coaches. Our family support program offers a holistic set of services that support young moms as they set and progress towards goals for their families’ well-being, health, education, employment, finances, and more.

Developed and opened in 2019, the building includes a residential wing of 18 brand-new, fully-furnished one and two-bedroom apartments for families, New Moms’ Western Suburban offices, and educational meeting spaces.

We are grateful for the generous contribution from the Wheaton Franciscan Sisters and named the building Clare Place in honor of St. Clare of Assisi, who devoted her life to the Franciscan values of respect, compassion, service, and integrity.
