Scattered Site Permanent Supportive Housing

New Moms provides supportive services to 15 families (63 people) in scattered site permanent supportive housing.  As part of a pilot project Families in Transition (FIT), a partnership between Chicago Public Schools, Corporation for Support Housing, DFSS and the Low-Income Housing Trust Fund to house families who were identified at 6 neighborhood schools that high rates of families experiencing homelessness to get them stably housed and provided ongoing support services.  New Moms was partnered with our local neighborhood school Howe Elementary School.

New Moms provides critical support services including coaching around goal formation, parenting, and life skill development; job training opportunities, and linkages to other community resources for additional support and services.
