Our work would not be possible without the help of our incredibly dedicated volunteers.
Our volunteers are a part of the New Moms family—each one has a special role in our community, bolstering our staff by completing a variety of tasks and helping when it’s needed most.
You can help make a difference. Join us in furthering our mission of expressing God’s love by surrounding young moms with all they need to transform their lives! We have regular opportunities, recurring projects, and offsite projects that you can participate in at one of our 3 locations (Oak Park, Austin neighborhood, or Garfield Park neighborhood).

Donate “ready-to-eat” meals at 5:15pm to New Moms Oak Park Center (206 Chicago Ave., Yellow Entrance) for 15-20 adults and children on Tuesdays and 10-15 on Wednesdays. Meals should contain a protein (no pork and we have one vegetarian), vegetable and/or fruit side, and a kid-friendly carbohydrate side (i.e., pasta, mac and cheese, bread); a dessert is also greatly appreciated. The groups have simple tastes and participants are not generally adventurous in trying new things, but they truly appreciate delicious, homemade food. Recommended meals include: casseroles, pasta dishes, chicken and rice, fried chicken, kabobs, meatloaf, tacos, and chili or soup. Donors do not have to provide baby food, beverages, condiments, dressings, plates, napkins, or utensils.

Donate “ready-to-eat” meals for about 10-12 adults at a time most convenient to you on Thursdays at 5317 W Chicago Ave between 4:45-5pm. The theme is “global cuisine” – Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Mediterranean, Thai, Pizza, American – no pork for any meals.
