Our work would not be possible without the help of our incredibly dedicated volunteers.

Our volunteers are a part of the New Moms family—each one has a special role in our community, bolstering our staff by completing a variety of tasks and helping when it’s needed most.

You can help make a difference. Join us in furthering our mission to strengthen families by partnering with young moms as they progress toward housing stability, economic mobility, and family well-being!  We have regular opportunities, recurring projects, and offsite projects that you can participate in at one of our 2 locations (Austin neighborhood or Garfield Park neighborhood).

Due to COVID restrictions, there are a number of regular volunteer opportunities that are on hold right now. Please check below to see which opportunities are available, and we will keep you updated as more opportunities arise.

  • Individuals: If you are interested in volunteering as an individual, you must first attend a virtual Volunteer Orientation via Zoom (volunteer orientations occur monthly). After attending Volunteer Orientation, and passing the screening process (which includes two background checks), you are welcome to request one of our volunteer opportunities listed below. If you’d like to get more information, please email Jessica Britt at volunteer@newmoms.org.

  • Groups: If you’re interested in a group volunteer opportunity, please complete this form, and our volunteer coordinator will reach out to you. Volunteer groups are back! With COVID safety protocols in place, New Moms has a few select opportunities for size-limited groups to volunteer with us. If you’re interested in bringing in your group to volunteer, click below.
