Annual Partner Breakfast a Success

On Saturday, October 20, 120 supporters of New Moms gathered for an update at the Annual Partner Breakfast at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare. Attendees were treated to a sumptuous breakfast and a delightful program.

An ensemble from the choir at Christian Tabernacle Church began the program with several inspiring songs. Former program participant Cheryl Darling shared her journey from pregnant homeless 17-year-old in 1998 to successful technical businesswoman today.

New Moms provided her with a home and family, help with finishing high school, and job skills training. President and CEO Audalee McLoughlin gave an update on all of New Moms’ activities, including the progress on the new building. Supporters had the opportunity to browse at booths featuring a display of the new building, Dreambean products by Bright Endeavors, and Parents as Teachers parenting curriculum. Attendees generously gave in support of all of New Moms’ programs.
