New Moms and its president, Audalee McLoughlin, were given a Jewel of the Civil Rights Movement Award at the IDEAL Education Foundation’s 18th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Luncheon. The foundation seeks to honor women and women’s organizations for their tireless work and meaningful programs that further the historical legacy of women in the Civil Rights Movement.
