New Moms does not take direct applications for our housing programs and does not maintain a site-based waitlist. We work with the Chicago Housing Authority (and Coordinated Entry) to fill our units.

In Need of Housing In Chicago?

IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION:

-You must be a pregnant or parenting mom between 18-24 years old.

-You must be experiencing housing insecurity.

Please follow the directions below to find Chicago housing support:

If you are 25 or older, please call 312-971-4178 for assistance in receiving services.


Complete a housing assessment with “Coordinated Entry” (by calling 312-971-4178) , if you are not in a shelter or connected to agency who provides supports like a drop-in center (15-30 mins). If you are, skip Step 1.

Apply to CHA’s Project Based Housing Voucher or “PBV” (30 mins). Open your online application by clicking below.

IMPORTANT: For a CHA PBV, to find New Moms, you can either leave the unit size unselected and search directly, or:

  • Choose Studio or 1 Bedroom to locate the New Moms Transformation Center (Demonstration),
  • Select 1 Bedroom or 2 Bedroom to find New Moms Oak Park.

Update Coordinated Entry every 90 days. Then, wait to be matched and contacted by our property manager.
